A spring wedding at Wooladon Estate, Lifton
Well wedding season 2023 has commenced and what a way to kick the year off at the gorgeous Wooladon Estate, Lifton! Set in the unspoilt countryside on the Devon and Cornwall border, the estate features a 500 acre kingdom of enchanted woodland, scenic lakes and rolling landscapes bordering the stunning banks of the River Tamar and River Lyd, the perfect setting for Tori & Ryan's big day!
I think to myself I'm so lucky to be a Devon Wedding Photographer when I get to visit and capture the most important day in a couple's lives at special and unique venues such as this!
After capturing the bridesmaids and their first look reactions (with many tears!) to the beaming bride in her dress, Tori & Ryan said "I do" in front of friends and family inside the amazing country ceremony room.
Confetti shots nailed, we then took some couples wedding photos against the backdrop of the Georgian House (complete with lake, perfect for some wide angle reflection shots!) and charming Willow Tree.
With all the guests gathered in the garden suite, there was so much laughter and emotion during the wedding breakfast speeches, it was a pleasure to capture all the little candid photo moments and reactions, something which is perfect for my style of documentary wedding photography.
Guests suitably fed and watered, everyone then gathered in the cosy living room (complete with open fire!) for drinks, relaxation and an evening of celebrations with the happy couple!
